Richard Ireland carried his pulpit to all encounters with everyone he met. Richard saw television, nightclubs, and celebrity circles as a unique opportunity to gain exposure and acceptance among the general populace. He also demonstrated his gifts in churches of various denominations throughout the world. Richard's goal was to demonstrate psychic phenomena as a validation of the existence of a universal creative force - God.
As Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works I do; and greater works than these he will do."(John 14:12)
As Richard's gifts became more keenly developed, he sensed less separation between the world of the physical and the world of spirit. He knew that people who "died" in a physical sense continued to exist in another, non-physical, realm. He also came to understand that the other sphere of existence is our normal or natural state and the physical expression is a temporary, yet necessary stage in our development.
Richard believed that the ultimate guideline and directive for everything in the Universe is love. God is the source of all positive / creative energy and love, thus love should be the compelling impetus for all our actions. If our behavior is driven by love we will always act in accordance with Universal Law.
If Richard Ireland had any single message that he wanted to share with the world, it was that "There is no death and there are no dead." He always used his gifts to illustrate that we are more than flesh and blood. Everyone is connected to an eternal Source, which has no beginning or end and whose nature is love. Needless to say, Richard Ireland did not give birth to these doctrines but he did serve as an effective mouthpiece, especially to people who would never have set foot in a traditional church. Richard cared for, loved, and comforted others, helping build faith in that which does not wither.
